Ukrainian people have a rich history of special traditions involving ritual breads that has been passed down over many centuries. These traditions are becoming more a thing of the past and are being lost. It is my hope that this publication becomes a resource, not only for us but also for future generations. I dedicate this publication in memory of my mother, Doris Wiwchar. Her skills and knowledge of ritual breads, which play an important role in the traditional occasions in the lives of Ukrainian people, were instilled in me. I feel very blessed.
