The Delikatesse Cucumber is a German Heirloom. A very popular European variety and a bit different from US cukes in appearance. Fruits are about 10 long and a lovely pale almost lime green covered with tiny warts. Can be used as a fine slicer or a very large pickler. Abundant yields are one reason that Delikatesse Cucumber has stood the test of time, great flavor is the other.

Tips:TheDelikatesse Cucumber should be planted in fertile soil, amended with compost or well-rotted manure and kept well watered. Trellising the vines allow for good air circulation, takes up less space, and provides shade for heat-sensitive crops like lettuce. They benefit from growing on black plastic and by using row covers for weed, insect control, and more rapid growth.
