KYIV CHAMBER CHOIR

One of the world’s great choirs, this superb ensemble was formed in 1990
and features 21 professional singers, all graduates of conservatories and
musical institutes, who perform with great skill the rich body of work that is
represented in the 1,000 year history of Ukrainian choral music.

The choir has developed an enviable reputation for their unique
performances, as well as their outstanding repertoire that features sacred
and secular music. Under their dynamic founder and Conductor, Mykola
Hobdych, the Kyiv Chamber Choir has won 3 Grand Prix Awards in
competitions among the best choirs of Europe.

Frequently invited to perform at world-class musical festivals, the Choir
now attracts sold-out audiences to concerts in England, France, Holland,
Germany, Denmark, Poland, Canada, and Ukraine, and has recorded
numerous CDs that showcase Hobdych’s interpretation of the great works
written by choral composers of Ukraine, both yesterday and today.
