LONG DAY
This near legendary onion is noted for its mildness. In the NW, its planted in fall, over-wintered, and harvested in spring. The Walla Walla Onion Seeds produce an acceptably mild crop from a spring planting in areas with more severe winters. Try to protect it over the winter with light mulch. Weve had mixed results with this method. Worth experimenting if you crave a mild onion.
